Meet Michael Bacotti Jr.
Every story has a beginning, and so does the Little Mike series. What started as a few comic drawings during middle school eventually grew into the adventures of Little Mike, John, and May. Here's a little about the author behind the series.
Michael Bacotti Jr. started creating stories long before he published his first book. During middle school, he spent much of his free time drawing comics, creating characters, and thinking of new adventures. Over time, those early drawings grew into the characters Little Mike, John, and May.
After about a year of developing the characters and their world, Michael decided it was time to turn his ideas into a real story. He began writing his first children's book, and that project eventually became the start of the Little Mike series.
Today, Michael continues to write and illustrate the books himself. He enjoys creating adventures that are fun to read while sharing positive messages about teamwork, kindness, perseverance, friendship, and caring for the world around us. His goal is to create stories that children enjoy reading and that families enjoy reading together.
When he isn't writing or drawing, Michael enjoys running track, building robots, and spending time outdoors. Many of his ideas come from everyday experiences, which often inspire new adventures for Little Mike and his friends.
Michael is always thinking about the next story and hopes the Little Mike series continues to grow with new adventures for years to come.
